MedLife Institute - Florida

Updated:   Published

Hello All!

I recently gained some information about Med Life institute. They are an LPN-RN school (with other nursing programs as well) located in Florida which offers an online/blended format way to earn your RN. After speaking to the representative she told me you come to FL for a week take some tests and exams to begin classes then do the rest online. The clinical portion is held in New Jersey at an affiliated hospital then at the end of the program you come back to take some more tests and exit exam. The total program runs about 9 months

I checked the Florida BON and saw that the school is legit and you can test for you NCLEX RN after passing the courses. This blended format is new however with the first class beginning in August of this year. I was wondering if:

A. Anyone has any experience with MedLife

B. Anyone in in the August blended class

C. Anyone is in the midst of applying to the January 18 class like myself?

Thanks In Advance to ALL responses.

@Hoepfully RN I'm far away from TX, and I had no issues in my state, however one of my classmates is having issues in NJ, other classmates had no issues in NY, PA, DE ....I guess they're requiring her to provide more documentation of completion, so she's been going back and forth with them for sometime. I think the problem was that she applied through FL board of nursing and then tried to get it endorsed through NJ, whereas she should've just went through NJ once she received her permission to test because that's what the rest of us did, we just applied in our state instead of getting it endorsed. Hope that helped.

Pls can you tell me how u were able to take the boards in your state when you went to a achool out of state. What did u have to do?

@Hoepfully RN once I graduated, I just went to the state board of nursing (the state in which I wanted to test in) and applied, there was a check off list of requirements which they wanted, such as proof of completion, transcript, and board of nursing fee, there wasn't a lot of stuff they wanted. I then submitted the forms, sent it to the school, had them sign and seal it and mail it to the state board of nursing, 2-3 wks later I received my permission to test, then I registered to take NCLEX

Okay thanks so much!

Hey all, has anyone been enrolled in or completed a program with the above consulting company. They’re based out of Florida and seems to have the same blended online/ 1 weekend per month model as Med Life institute. I’ve yet to see anything online not reviews or comments. Please share if you’ve heard of them.

That school closed down but there’s another one. I’m in the program now and it’s nice. You have live clinicals in FL, the school is on the Florida Board of Nursing website. They even provide transportation from the airport to clinicals and hotel as well for a reasonable price.

Heres the number for information: (800) 983-9710

Do your research and just make sure that where every you decide to attend is on the board of nursing website and is accredited and is on the accreditation site so you will not lose time and money in the end. Some states will not let you board unless it is from a accredited school so keep that in mind just because you are on the board of nursing site does not make the school accredited so do your research before choosing a nursing program. In the state of Florida there are many schools that are only on the board of nursing site only with no accreditation you may still may board but you may have problems depending on what state you are trying to license in or reciprocity in so just do your research on the school you will attend.

Thank you so much I did look into it and Yessss it’s approved and accredited.

Hi Chanel!

Thank you for responding! Are you currently enrolled with intelligent- nursing or Found Path? I noticed MedLife was in Fort Lauderdale and Found path is in Miami. Did you start this fall? I will send you a private message
