Medicare License fee $68,000??

[COLOR=#333333]I'm in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area of Texas and I've been interested in pursuing in creating a home health agency that provides both non-medical and medical care which by law in Texas and everywhere requires an administrative license and medicare license.

I went on the Texas DADS website and easily found the fee for the administrative license which was $1,750, pretty reasonable. I can't find anything about Medicare license fees, I see the 855 form I need though.

I called a healthcare consulting firm earlier today that mentioned that a medicare license to serve in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area will be around $68,000!? I never heard of such a thing...

I think you pay a fee for the administrative license and a few for the Medicare license that isn't that much because I guarantee not everyone has that kind of money to put up front, so I'm confused as to what I need to do, was this information most likely misinformed or operating a home health agency from scratch, starting small from home will really cost me $68,000 just to provide services via Medicare??

Thanks

sorry lol that was a consulting fee which was ridiculous, she didn't price me right in regards to my question. I believe the medicare fee in TX is $532
