  1. This is what I was looking for. PA's can't sign off on a 485? That's practically the essential document of a home health agency. Hmm .
  2. sorry lol that was a consulting fee which was ridiculous, she didn't price me right in regards to my question. I believe the medicare fee in TX is $532
  3. Most home health agencies have a director of nursing, but I'm curious if a PA-C can sign off the same papers nurses would and can you still bill medicare for the services provided?
  4. [COLOR=#333333]I'm in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area of Texas and I've been interested in pursuing in creating a home health agency that provides both non-medical and medical care which by law in Texas and everywhere requires an administrative license and medicare license. I went on the Texas DADS website and easily found the fee for the administrative license which was $1,750, pretty reasonable. I can't find anything about Medicare license fees, I see the 855 form I need though. I called a healthcare consulting firm earlier today that mentioned that a medicare license to serve in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area will be around $68,000!? I never heard of such a thing... I think you pay a fee for the administrative license and a few for the Medicare license that isn't that much because I guarantee not everyone has that kind of money to put up front, so I'm confused as to what I need to do, was this information most likely misinformed or operating a home health agency from scratch, starting small from home will really cost me $68,000 just to provide services via Medicare?? Thanks
  5. Does anyone know what transcripts (domestic cases) is? I sent both of my transcripts from two different schools I've attended, and on the application website it states that I need to still send the transcript mentioned above in order to complete my application.
  6. Thank you kind lady! I also called and they said they don't have a preference, she was somewhat confused at the question it seemed like, but the reason why I ask is because here in Texas for example in regards to medical school we have to accept 90% of Texan applicants at the very least by law.
  7. Thanks for the update :) Also, another quick question. I've been lurking on previous ACE facebook class profiles and it seems most people accepted or attending are from up northeast which is fine, but is there like a northeastern preference?? I'm from down south (Texas) and I'm not sure if they are biased against Out of State applicants. I've seen like one person from california so it seems possible. Most come from neighbor states such as New York, Delaware, New Jersey etc.
  8. Nvm I found out how to apply. Hey everyone, I'm from Texas and I'm applying here out of whim to see how it goes. I'm also in the app cycle for PA school, but I don't see becoming a nurse as a deterrent since my main goal would be to open up my own HHA. Also, the nursing lobby is 10x stronger and have more autonomy in terms of legislative power compared to other fields. Moreover, I graduated from the University of Texas System with roughly a 3.6 cGPA and 3.4 sGPA - Neuro degree - male. I have plenty of HCE experience - 1000+ hrs of HHA/CNA exp, hospital/shelter volunteer, TA/Research Assistant. @ first my degree track was pre-med so I have most of the pre-reqs and even took courses such as ochem 1/2 which was a beating to my GPA. Nonetheless, i believe the only classes I have left is micro and nutrition which I'm taking this semester starting next week. I plan on sending my transcripts tomorrow which hopefully will arrive in a week or so. Does anyone know if Drexel is rollings admissions? Also, when I submitted I didn't receive any log-in info in order to check the app status
  9. Also is there Any way to notify them of job exp or letters of recs?
  10. How do I apply here? I'm in the cycle for PA school, but interested in this Drexel program - I go to the website and they say the app fee is waived if done online, I go to the undergraduate app, filled out the first page and clicked on majors and couldn't find the ACE nursing option. How do I go about applying for this? Also, this isn't online right and do we just send transcripts/lors?
