Hello I have been a Med Surg Rn for a long time and for the past 6 months I have been wanting to make a change to Home Health but I seem to be having a hard time finding at the moment a per diem job in the field. I live south of Boston. I have re written my resume three to four times over. It is time for a change. Change is scary but I am ready to now to make the change. Any one have any advice? Thank you

HH is hard,,hard enough that to start out being PRN and no exp, is not a good mix. Working it full time it will take u about 6 months to say...i think i understand it. I would not advise PRN for someone with no HH exp

Why do you not advise anyone new to home health to start out as per diem?

I think that could apply to most positions. The key to becoming proficient in any area is repetition. I can't imagine showing up to work once every week or two in a different specialty & remembering much of what I learned the previous shift.
