I also am a med surg nurse. I cut my hours at the hosp from 40 to 32 and now work per diem in HH. I wanted to make sure I liked HH. I do like it but it does not have the stability the hosp has. I suggest u work per diem in HH before u fully comit to them to to be sure you like it. There is a lot to learn bc it is a little different than med surg. Good luck.

Have had one try to have his GF sneak some herion by having her place it in mcdonalds cheese burger. Well needless to say he was not happy when he got his food only to find a cheese burger bc we found the drugs. Yup he put on his call light to say. Something is wrong with my Burger and all I had to say was. Guess u did not get what u wanted and walked out. Lol lol

Sadnursemg that is basically what has happened to me. Here is ur comp have fun. One nurse I will text to ask questions but she never text back. The other is to fast she likes to talk but by end of conversation my question was not answered. So I have been learning this on my own. I am hoping to sit with the Q A nurse this week and get answers to my questions. For now I'm sticking with just skilled visits. And yes I am per diem at this place. Main job is med surg at a hosp b

I just did my first admission yesterday. See I have had no real training in this so I am learning as I go. Slow but sure I am learning lol
