Hi All,
Early on I knew I wanted to be a pediatric nurse, but the journey there has not been easy. After 2 years in a community hospital in the Bronx working on a Medical-Surgical floor, I was extended the offer as a Staff nurse in the PICU at a NYP Weill Cornell. Excited, YES. Nervous, HECK YES.
Any advice out there for what I can do to prepare? Should I brush up on any specifics before I start my orientation? What was your transitional experience like transitioning from med-surg into the PICU?
Thanks a bunch,
