Med Surg Certification

I just completed the Med Surg Certification one week ago. They say it will be 6 - 8 weeks before you know your score. For people that have taken the test, is this true? In what time frame did you receive your score?

Believe it. It took about nine weeks to get my scores recently. Very old fashioned IMHO to not use computers to their fullest extent.

Can anyone give me a heads up on the exam .... is it tough? What reference material did you use to study? I am scheduled to take the exam in October through the Academy of Med-Surg Nurses. Any info would be helpful

Me, too! Was it harder than the NCLEX? Easier? Or about the same? Inquiring minds want to know!! :p

Oh yea ... another question ... how may are certifying through ANCC and how many are certifying through AAMSN? What were your thoughts about either? Thanks for sharing.
