MDS salary options!

Hi everyone,

I have a dilemma. I've been working as a MDS coordinator at a large facility for a couple of years now. I enjoy the people I work with but management is another ordeal we must deal with. It becomes overwhelming at times because if something goes wrong we are blame regardless if we had no involvement. The upside of working hereIs the pay. I feel as if we ate torttortured and treated unfairly the majority of the time so I pursue other employment facilities. I recently interview somewhere and they would like to hire me as the lead coordinator. Its a small facility. About 60 beds and I currently take care of 71 beds. The only downside is the pay. Its 3 dollars less than I make now. I made an analysis. Of what I will make biweekly which seems to be 300 less if I take the new job. Im so complacent and now feel too comfortable where im at even though they treat us bad on occasion. Im very confused And would like any advice on this matter. Thanks.

I think that only you can weigh the pros and cons to make your decision. Is the extra money worth the unfair treatment?

How do you know that the other facility doesn't have management issues either? Sometimes the devil you know is safer than the devil that you don't know.
