MDS pay varies by experience, demand, location and corporation.
I'm in Indiana and have heard ranges of $23 to $31 per hour.
I know someone who did interim MDS work making $50 per hour plus all expenses.
I recently heard that a recruiter was offering $67 per hour but I have a hard time believing that one.
I think some corporations pay more than others.
Hope this helps, I'm interested in knowing the "going rate" as well! :)
@mdsnurse12,
which part of texas? I am curious as to the diff in pay in different regions in TX also. I am in Central TX, about half way between Austin and Waco.
Hey there,I accepted a MDS Coordinator position at a LTC facility in Texas in December 2011... I'm loving my job so far! I was brand-new LVN working as a staff nurse in LTC when I was offered this position, so I jumped at the opportunity. I'm getting paid $20/hrly... I'm not complaining, I'm grateful for the job opportunity and it IS more than I was getting paid as a staff nurse... but I have no idea what is fair pay in this field... just want to know for curiosity's sake.
