Last night was the last chance to accept my accelerated offer (even though im waiting on the response for full time still) so I accepted! I was told if I get into full time I can just switch. Im still excited but the nerves are starting to set it haha.

Thats great congratulations!! I accepted the Accelerated option as well! There are so many decisions I have to make about my job/schedule but I can't do anything without knowing what our class schedules are like. I've been searching for an example schedule too with no success. I hope we get more information during orientation. Did we all get the same mandatory orientation date of nov 9th?

Awesome!! Congrats. I drive a moped so I’m hoping clinicals aren’t like an hour away…. Ha. I’d like the schedule as well, can’t find an example either. And yes I have Nov. 9th-11th for orientation!

same, I luckily will be able to quit my job to do the accelerated program, I know its going to be insane. I called and apparently they changed the orientation to November 29-december 1. im not sure why they made so many date changes and havent let us know or updated the website. the only way I've found out about these changes was by specifically asking, its kind of crazy...

OMG no way? We need to make a petition or something about the COMMUNICATION. It is HORRIBLE. Please let your advisors know this. I let mine know all the time. There should be emails that go out when important changes are made!

My school in Minnesota would send out emails any time there was any important update, date change, and an email 1.5 years ahead of a curriculum change. They were amazing at communicating things with students.

Wow I cannot believe they aren't emailing us. I already requested time off...its very inconsiderate. Also once we know more im sure we can all make program specific car pooling chats or something ?

I agree, something needs to change. I work full time now until I start school (does the semester start jan 4th?) and I requested time off for the orientation dates on the website. now I have to change the request...so confusing

so true! I live in palmetto bay and the map said with traffic its an hour 10 min drive LOL...the Metrorail is sounding better and better ?

YUP SAME. I also moved shifts around and changed a bunch on my schedule. I highly suggest if you feel their communication is terrible, sending an email to Dean. Also attach the office rep. I will be sending an email later this afternoon with my concerns on the lack communication at MDC. Even if you just sent something short it would be helpful because nothing will change without multiple people speaking up. Do we really want to start nursing program at this school while the communication is lacking significantly? I sure don’t. Let anyone you know who is in the nursing program to email the Dean. We need numbers people! And yes January 4th is the first day.
