They don't seem to be the snappiest group do they? :) I have been waiting for 3 weeks for my ATT. Maybe it is the new background checks? How long did it take you to get your ok to take NCLEX? Thanks, Jules

Jules,

let me know when you get your ATT. I'm also wondering how long it takes.

Will do. When did they submit your app to the board?

MBON can take weeks to months to process a license. I live in norteastern Maryland and work in Penna, partly because the pay is letter but also took forever to get a license by endorsement.

Jules, i haven't submitted my app yet. My school wouldn't sign us off till we actually graduate next week. so i'll to wait till then. Please let me know when you get it cuz i have to give my landlord a month notice before i'll be able to move to MD.

I mailed the MD BON my application on May 17th, then registered and paid Pearsonvue

Tues or Weds before Memorial Day weekend. Got my ATT, last Weds. But no they are normally, not snappy, took me over a month to get the application for my CNA when I thought of getting certified in MD.

Good luck!

Janis,

It sounds like it only took about a week or two for you to get the ATT. Does it have to do with the school you attended or where you live? Did you have to call them after you submitted it to check on the status?

PA is a bigger state with so many schools and their turnaround time is 2weeks.

We got our packet in April which gave us the background check/fingerprint info, MD BON application, and Pearsonvue info. I got that done Mid April I think. I had it done with electronic fingerprints where I went to the actual CJIS office in Baltimore because I heard of problems with ink prints done at local police depts. Alot of times people had their fingerprints kicked back with the ink one because they weren't good enough quality. When you had them electronically done, the computer could tell if it was a passing print. I got a receipt for the prints. About two weeks went by and I was informed my background check was fine. My school, University of Maryland, had us fill out the application, submit it to them with our passport photo and they signed off that we indeed were going to graduate. They gave that back pretty quick. I sent in the application, with the $100, and the fingerprint receipt to MD BON on May 17th. I didn't check the status etc. Then the next week I registered online with Pearsonvue, gave them my email address, and paid with a credit card. They give you the ATT through email if you give them your email address, so it is important to check junk mail because your email may send it there. There were people in my class who paid Pearsonvue a week before I did and got their ATT the same day as I did. I think and stress the word "think" that they send out ATT's like once every two weeks because a bunch of us who paid at different times during a two week period got our ATT's the same day through email. I don't think it had anything to do with the school or where I lived. I do know someone was held up on the BON side of things because he didn't send his fingerprint receipt with his application to the BON. After two weeks of waiting I have heard you should call Pearsonvue to find out why you haven't gotten your ATT. Hope this helps!

When I graduated in December it took about 3 weeks. But then all the Pearsonvue appointments in Maryland were full for over a month. However, by logging in every day, I got in on a cancellation in about a week - had to drive a long way (to Delaware), but it was worth it to get it over with.

thanks for the info lol, i can't believe you drove to DE. I'm 20minutes from delaware and i've yet to step foot in that state. At least it was worth it, that's a good way to look at it.
