MCPHS (FNP) May 2016

I just got accepted into Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) for their FNP program (Worcester campus, online though)!! So excited! Is there anyone else that will be attending in May for this program?

Orientation is Wednesday May 4th. The interview is about 30 minutes on skype and is laid back (I truly enjoyed the interview)! Just dress nice and make sure your Skype works! I hope you all get into your desired specialty tracks as well!!

Skype decided not to work for my interview. It worked from my end, but not hers, so we did my interview over the phone. I was unaware that the PMHNP track is very new. I believe she said it started last year. I've been checking my mail and email, but no updates yet. Hope you get an interview soon. :)

I just received an offer to interview!! Now I am nervous of course. I know you said the interview wasn't too bad but what kinds of questions should I expect? Thanks in advance! And sla2112- did you hear anything yet?

Excellent!! Just be prepared to answer questions like why you want to be an NP, where you see yourself in 5 years in your career, you may be asked about a certain scenario you may have came across in your career and how you dealt with it, tell a little about yourself, why your specialty, and a few other questions!! You'll do fine, don't over stress it! It'll be better than you think. Best of luck!

Hello. I was about to type everything Alikatz08 did regarding questions. I had the same questions she did. Unfortunately, I still have not heard anything which is making me kind of nervous. Granted it has only been 2 weeks, but it starts in 2 months and I need to buy a computer and such if I get in. I guess we shall see what happens. Fingers are crossed I hear something too. I don't want to email them and ask how long a decision takes :) Good luck with the interview!!

I hear you! I was thinking the same thing about the time line of everything. I have a computer that should be okay (my RN-BSN was also an online classroom format) but still it would be nice to know sooner rather than later whether or not we are starting school in May so we can prepare. Anyway- keep us posted!! :)

Lol It's ok! I was accepted at the end of the interview, but she said she had to give that decision to admissions for the final say. Interviewed on a Wednesday and received my official acceptance letter in email on the following Monday.

That's exciting (and would be awesome to be accepted on the spot!) Thank you all for the great information and interview tips. Looks like my interview will be either next Wednesday or Friday. :unsure:
