You're welcome!! It works better for me for the same reasons. I just went part time for the remainder of the program.

Hi Tiffer! I enjoy the program! They offer online format or on campus. I'm in the online program as it works better with my lifestyle. Our class just started clinicals this week! It's a serious and tough program, which is a good thing, and you do have to put work in! The instructors are prompt and very knowledgeable. Like most advanced nursing programs there are papers (certainly not weekly), but not extremely unreasonable! Some courses are only papers or projects, while others are exams. You will have discussions in each class too. You'll just have to organize yourself and prioritize. You get what you put in! It's an excellent school with a good reputation and they take that seriously. You will be taught well! Good luck in your interview!!

I just logged into everything to review things and I could view my statement. Keep checking and hopefully it appears for you.

I will try later after work and see what mine says and let you know if anything shows. That's weird, hopefully it'll be fixed!

Yes, they accepted everything I submitted. If you have any questions about anything on the immunization requirements the site is very helpful, so definitely call them (certified profile) if something is confusing at all. As far as I know we don't have to do a criminal background check or drug screen for MCPHS (haven't read about it anywhere or heard about it). I hear what you're saying, another school I was accepted to prior to comitting to this program also wanted a background / drug screen.

IV fluids after C/S, am I wrong???
Nothing to add, as everyone else said, you are correct in your interpretation. It's their unit culture and they are "stuck" per say in their ways. Keep doing what you are doing, there is no wrong in it. :)

I decided on Auburn and booked at a room today. One less thing to worry about now. Counting down the weeks now!

I'm not quite sure yet. I've been looking around for a decently priced one that has at least somewhat of a good rating lol. Worcester is out the question as most of the hotels are way overpriced and for one night I'm not willing to pay an outrageous fee. I looked at Auburn and there's not a ton there (might have one I'll look into again), so I'll look at other surrounding towns today to see if I can find one. Fun lol!

The library tutorial is separate. I haven't received my log in info yet either. I spoke with the advisor a few days ago and she said we will all be receiving our login information within the next week (they give it a certain date and the system then sends out the email for that). Getting close!!!!! I am booking my room tomorrow!

You can try bookrenter (that's usually the site I use), chegg, and other rental sites! Even barns&noble and Amazon have rentals too. When I meant online, I actually meant I order them online lol. They are actual books. You can get 3 month rentals for as low as $20 even depending on the book of course! They give you a return slip to print out when the rental is up and you can drop it off at a UPS store for free. :)

Sla - You should be fine that you didn't talk to them, no worries. I just did because I haven't received my email yet, but that is because they didn't have my social security number. Now that they do, I'll be able to get all my info and paperwork so I can fax the form and get everything taken care of lol. She said I also will get the 20,500 stafford loan for the year, so that's good. Everyone should be totally fine. Dee - Exactly what Sla said! Also, when I talked to financial aid she said it ended up only being $200 extra out of pocket for the semester that is 9 credits, etc. So apparently she said it won't be a huge deal. I get all my college books online through a rental site, so it's WAY cheaper than buying. Only time I have ever had to pay a little more is if the rental sites didn't have the particular book I needed (which only happened once or twice ever). You can save hundreds of dollars this way. We should be getting our username and password anytime now since we are so close to orientation!!!! Ahhh so over excited!

Nitrous Oxide
Right?! It's amazing that some sound educated advice goes in one ear and out the other with some of these patients only because they listen to just their doctor and he/she knows best. I often will even use items to show the patient and even the support person the effects of pushing horizontal on the back and pushing in different positions that don't involve flat on the back. Sometimes then they'll listen. Luckily, most patients I have, have been open minded, but once that Doctor does come in they put the patient right back on their back! Ugh!! I had a patient not long ago who ended up being sectioned after a couple hours of valiant pushing efforts in many different positions and it surely wasn't the docs idea. At the end she felt like she made every effort possible to have an SVD at least.
