Both ? Though I think a lot of people here applied for Boston.

i just accepted today and it took 5 days for me to get a response! Weirdly enough, the decision popped up in the morning, but i received the e-mail with instructions to check our applications around 6 p.m. I just happened to check my application for a status change before the e-mail was sent. I can't wait to meet of of y'all in person! ?

Hey everyone!!!

I am currently in the accelerated nursing program at MCPHS. Feel free to ask me any questions. I was just in your shoes last year, so I would love to help in anyway I can!

Hey ! I currently work as a CNA and was wondering if you think it is possible to work one/two times a week while in this program? Also, what was the hardest semester? How have you been successful? Any study tactics you recommend? Thanks :)

What is the facebook group called? Is it specific to our program?

Hey!!

A decent amount of people work throughout this program, but it's only if they absolutely HAVE in most cases The first semester is rough, but it is possible to pick up a shift here or there. Most of my classmates who work have a per diem position.

I started in the fall, so this is my second semester. First semester was definitely difficult, but it was very structured which made it easier for everyone to organize and plan accordingly. The beginning of the second semester is a relief, but towards the middle of the semester once Provider I (Megsurg) and clinical rotations begin it starts to become hectic again. Personally, Medsurg is without a doubt the hardest class I have taken so far!

My advice is to try to pay attention in class. I know 8 hours of class is terrible, but many times the professors will hint what is going to be on the exam in class, but you'll only notice if you're paying attention! When studying, I write out all my notes on white printer paper and use colored pens and highlighters. I am visual learner, so color coordinating is very helpful. I also recommend using quizlet and the HESI RN NCLEX red book is very helpful too!! MCPHS is really good about providing mentors and tutoring services. Also, the review sessions held by the upperclassmen are helpful as well.

This program is tough, but sooo worth it!! Do not forget to make time for yourself and relax!! I take a day or two out of the week to catch up on my Netflix shows, hang out with my friends, or to catch up on sleep LOL!!! If you try to study 24/7, trust me you'll go crazy.

Let me know if you have any more questions!! I'll gladly answer them.

Unfortunately I got rejected :(... congrats to everyone who did get in

Check your profile guys! I just got in
