MCC Nursing Applicants for 2016

U.S.A. Michigan

Hey everyone!

Last year's thread caught so much momentum, I figured I'd give it another shot for this year! Applications were due Feb 15th for the next cycle of the nursing program. So, who's applied? What are your scores? What classes have you taken? And anything else you can think of...

I'll start- I applied this year (after a chaotic time of academic indecision, an engagement, and a baby)! My scores were a 3.87 gpa and an 88 on the HESI. I don't feel super confident with those scores, but I'm trying to stay positive.

I can't wait to find out if I'm in once April/May rolls around! I hope to find some other people to talk to that are going through this journey as well.

Those scores sound very promising! It seems like (based on threads from the last few cycles) that quite a few alternates get in each year. I wonder how many applications were submitted this time versus previous years. I have had a hard time finding others that also applied. Hopefully that's a good sign!

Yes you will get in and our scores are close we may even have the same start day.... I hand i have been following the mcc nursing blogs on here since highschool not to be a debbie downer. There really is no way to know how many aoplied because students come from all over just be confident in your scores ..... Your wayyyy up there so i know you will get in ive noticed usually any gpa over 3.67 and heai over 85 or 86 makes the cut it starts getting wishy washy around the 3.6 and 85 mark just my opinion

Right, well there's nothing to do except speculate at this point anyway. I have been in contact with an advisor at MSU to see what their RN to BSN partnership agreement is all about. It definitely seems like something worth looking into. I just wish we had a solid date for the letters! I would feel better knowing that I'll know by a certain date. Wishful thinking lol

Me too ..... Cant wait hopefully we start together fingers crossed. Be talking to you soon

Just an update, I called the office this morning and they said they're still working on the applications. They are on track to send out letters at the end of next month!

The rejection letters?

All letters- I just wanted to get a more solid timeline for this year. Hopefully as we get closer there will be a specific send out date!

Hello, I applied this year too! Im happy to find a thread. There isnt much out there for the 2016 applicants like there was in the past years. I applid with a 3.5862 GPA  and a 93 on my HESI. I am really nervous but my composite score is a 91. I called the office today and they said that the letters were sent out yesterday

Make sure to keep everyone updated! We've been working hard toward this, I can't wait to get those letters!!

Received my acceptance letter today, was ranked on 3.54 GPA and 90 HESI. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations!!! Hopefully my mail arrives soon
