Hello everyone!
I've been obsessively reading over the threads for the 2013 and 2014 applicants, but I thought I'd see if anyone will be applying to the Nursing program at Macomb Community College for 2015. I am a transfer student from Texas and will be taking A&P this summer then intro to Nursing (since MCC requires that you take their specific course) and micro in the Fall. I'm so excited to get back into school and was wondering if anyone is following along the same timeline.
Hi everyone! I got my acceptance to the RT program but I haven't gotten anything from the nursing program.. BUT on my mcc academic program, my plan, lists both RT and nursing associates? Does anyone else have this? To be honest I haven't looked at my academic profile, my plan, like ever so idk if that's there because I applied to both or what...
I'm only concerned because a girl I'm friends with on FB said she got into both already; but I feel like she's lying because even if I didn't get into nursing I would get a letter, right?
You won't get the nursing acceptance letter till this week coming up. That program list has been on there since you applied. It should be on all of ours. Mine has been there since January. We are hoping to find out if we got accepted by Wednesday. What scores did you and your friend apply with? We are all sharing so we get some kind of idea what the competition is. Best of luck to you!
Hello hopefuls,
Just popping in here to say good luck to you all. I graduate in 2 1/2 weeks and remember going through this 2 years ago like it was yesterday. It's true the 2 years goes by very quickly, but at the same time I have never been more ready to be done with anything like with this program!
Tip: get a job in a hospital as soon as you qualify (I think after Med Surge I) to get your foot in the door. Many of us did this and already have jobs lined up...I start as an RN on 5/19 on my unit, and I didn't even have an interview. :)
Thank you Ms pebbles for the insight! Glad to hear it went by quickly. I'm ready to start. I agree that having your foot in the door at a hospital is a good idea. They see you work at hospital, especially their hospital, you will have no problem finding a job. I've worked as a phlebotomist for 6.5 years, so I'm glad I have that experience. I have nurses tell me all the time that I will have no problem finding a job once I graduate. I can't wait to start!

I think everyone has a good chance too. These next few days will go by so slow!
