MCC First Semster's Classes

Can anyone tell me what classes you take for your first semster at MCC??? I've tried looking up the courses on the Maricopa website but the only class I find is Nursing Theory. What other classes do you take?? I'm going to Mesa Community College but I believe the classes are ther same for any Maricopa Community College RN Nursing Program. Thanks for any input!!

Anyone in block 2 that can give me some advice?? What's block 2 like?? I chose banner desert as my first choice and gateway as my second choice for clinicals..any comments on those?

I'm finishing up block II right now and I can tell you that baywood has the best med/surg clinical experience. The nurses are very receptive to having students (which is huge) and they let you do basically whatever you want. You get a ton of experience. I know there were some issues at Gateway this year. Stick with baywood or desert.

And as for block I classes. There is one class (NUR151). You can take NUR104 if you want for an extra credit. That would be 11 credits total. You don't really focus on pharm to much. In fact almost not at all. With the new curiculum you get it later on. Don't worry about drugs for block I or II.
