Hello! I just submitted my application for the Mayo Clinic Nurse Residency starting July 2017. Just seeing if there is anyone out there that applied or has any tips on their interview process!
Oh nice! That is definitely one less thing for you to stress out about. Enjoy your final two weeks of nursing school! You are almost done! I interview on Friday and I'm starting to get nervous.
@kkbb I know you said you are from AZ so did they send you a unit preference email at all before your interview or was that something discussed during it? I wasn't able to have any clinical rotations there so I'm not all that familiar with the units. In the meantime, just think positive thoughts!
I wasn't emailed the unit preference list before, but they gave it to me when I got there. I didn't want to rank them because I would be happy with any of them. I didn't have any clinical rotations there either and have only been there once before to visit a friend.
For the record, I have never been nervous about an interview before. I didn't sleep for two days before this one. I even had a study guide to prepare. I am not sure how much it helped. I wish you the best of luck....but then again, you are competition..... Seriously, deep breath in and give it your all. That is all any of us can do.
Thank you for answering! I definitely feel my nerves kicking into gear the closer it gets. At least you had a study guide! I've just been going based on what I've read in previous forums and stuff my school had for interviews. Not sure how much help it will be but I'm just going to do my very best. Haha thank you! I wish you the best of luck as well. If it is meant to be, it will happen. :)

I interviewed yesterday. I answered as best I could, but the scenario questions threw me a little. All in all I thought I did as well as I could. I did think about a few things I should have said after the fact, but nothing to major. They said they were interviewing for a few more weeks so now to just focus on my last two weeks of school and the NCLEX. I know that there are only a few positions and tons of applicants, so I don't want to get my hopes up too high.
