Mayo New Grad Residency Feb 2018

Haven't found a thread for 2018, so I thought I would start one. Anyone else apply to the residency at mayo hospital?

@Nancy,BSN I interviewed for both Med-Surg and Critical Care! How did your interview go?

My application status changed to interview today! My interview went well, so felt like there were some questions I could have gave better answers for after but I did my best! How did your interview go?

My status changed to interview as well today! In the column next to application status where it lets you withdraw or re-active your application is it grayed out or does it still give you the option of withdrawing if you wanted to? My interview was okay, I was nervous but confident. It was my first nursing interview and at Mayo! so hopefully I did good enough... I wonder if they will let us know by next week or the week of the 11th. Who did you interview with?

The withdraw option is grayed out for me as well.

It was my first nursing interview ever so I was nervous as well. I interviewed with two ladies. One was the nursing placement coordinator and the other was a supervisor from a floor. Hopefully next week! :) if I hear anything I will comment on here so hopefully others will too.

I was just checking in to see if anyone has received the background check email or heard anything other than the "interview" status change. When I look at previous years threads the change in status and the background change email were typically on the same day or very close together.

My status also changed to interview but I don't think we will hear anything about offers until next week or the week after.

That what I was told at my interview was we would hear mid December. However, when I look in the past years it seemed like they changed status to interview and sent out the background check email on the same day or close to the same day. This email has to be addressed with 48 hours so I'm just double checking! Thanks!

I had two different friends interview yesterday and today, they were told we'd know by the second week of December. I would just keep checking your emails next week. It looked like previously they would call within 24hrs of the background email for offers, denials just by email.

@ HeatherMR1114 Did your friends interview for the med-surg or critical care position? I heard they were done interviewing for one of those units two weeks ago but not sure for which one.

not sure if this helps, but my interview was last week for med-surg. so if what you heard is correct it must have been critical care.
