Does anyone have any idea when Mayo will open the application period for the Feb 2017 Nurse Residency Program? I'm pretty sure it will be in the next couple of weeks but currently the website is still showing information for July 2016...
Congrats SJKB123! I did my preceptorship on that floor and I loved the staff there! I had a great experience! (:I haven't received the background check email.. Is it possible they are going by alphabetical order? Or maybe in the order of interviews?
That's awesome that you precepted on that floor. Im really excited! Sorry, it took so long to respond we had pinning and graduation the last two weeks! It feels awesome to have officially completed my BSN!!! Is there anything I should review that helped you during your preceptorship? How did you prepare? Any books, tools, or apps you found useful? Thanks in advance;) Hope to see you at orientation!

For the transplant side it's really help full to know the different transplant meds that are used often (Prograf, Cellcept, Prednisone, Acyclovir, Bactrim, etc.) :)
Hi! I am currently in the traditional BSN program at ASU. I am very interested in applying to the Mayo New Grad program nest year. I have questions on what the GPA requirements are. If you don't mind sharing what your GPA is I'd greatly appreciate that just so I can try to figure out what GPA they are look for. Also, did you have to have any volunteer hours for the application and if you did have volunteer hours do you believe it helped you get the position? Thank you all for your time and congratulations!

Hi Egaddy, I just graduated from ASU! Mayo likes applicants that have exposure to Mayo. In your last year I would try to sign up for any available clinicals at Mayo or at least try to volunteer there. You don't have to have a set number of volunteer hours for the application, but I volunteered at PCH and I mentioned that on my resume. I got into the Mayo new grad program with a 3.64, so nothing crazy impressive
Hi all! Congrats on your offered positions! I'm currently finishing up my last semester of my ADN program in Boston. I'm interested in relocating to AZ and applying to Mayo new grad so I'm just wondering if anyone who was accepted has an Associates degree? The website says bachelors preferred, but I'm planning on enrolling into a RN-BSN program that starts in June (online of course!) Thanks for your help and again, congrats! :)

I have an associates degree and haven't yet enrolled in a bachelors degree program and started with mayo in their new grad program last July. So it definitely isn't a requirement!

Hello! I can't think of any, I wasn't introduced to any in my training. It's a stroke center and you'll get certified for that in your training. They do a really good job of teaching you everything you need to know.
