Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread to learn more about others who are applying for the program. I've read posts from past cohorts and thought it would be a great way for us to meet each other. I can't wait to hear from you all! ?

I am 1% peanut butter & jealous of you all, but 99% of me is excited for you all that got/get it. I don't know if this is weird, but would any of you all share what the congratulatory/acceptance paragraph says.

CONGRATULATIONS! You have been accepted into the Summer III Nurse Externship Program at Mayo Clinic Rochester! You are one of a group of well-qualified students and we are confident this Summer experience is an important milestone in your career journey. The Summer III program offers students an opportunity to meet other nursing students, staff and patients from diverse cultures and backgrounds. This 10-week employment opportunity officially starts on Monday, June 7, and will finish on Friday, August 13, 2021.

After that it goes into your unit and some other housekeeping stuff.

Cool!! I saw you are going to be on Solid Organ Transplant Floor. That list they gave opened my eyes to how many sub-specialties exist and where our future could be.

Do you guys know what if they will let us know if we don't get an offer? I kind of know that I won't get an offer because it has been an hour since people heard from Mayo but just want to hear from them ?

Last year people found out they got a spot as late a 3:00pm. I hope that gives your some comfort @PMTnurse !

You are right! Thank you so much for giving me some hopes up for the past hour! LOL. I just received an email. I'll on the cardiac surgical ICU unit! Can't wait!

Received an email at 3:18pm Eastern - my last name begins w/ L. I am currently in a state of shock. I got PICU, which was my #1 choice! I have waited over 10 years to go back to school, trying to talk myself out of it, but nursing is my dream. I can't believe this is all finally happening. 

Did anyone see anything about cost for the housing option?
