Mayo Clinic New Grad Program AZ

Hi all. I applied for the Mayo Clinic New Grad program and was interviewed in late March. They said they would have a hiring decision end of April. Here it is end of April and I'm dying to hear something! Has anyone else applied and have you heard anything? Thanks!

I am graduating from UofA nursing with a BSN and there was an email sent out through our listserv that they are ALSO doing external applicants. I know that it says mostly internal, but some departments are hiring external as well.

They have the fellowship program for BSN and that is external and from what I hear a great program. Hopefully they do open up some to external, but from what everyone is saying, they are really trying to hire internal because they have already paid tuition and have invested in the employees. That would be great though if they do!

haven't heard anything yet either. also med/surg

Mmmmmmmm, maybe it was only ICU calls!!! No word of any med/surg applicants getting a call yet.

I wonder how many ICU they are hiring.. I heard 29 but assumed that was all for Med/Surg. Anyone here get a call for Med/Surg???

I assumed the 29 was all med/surg too because they made the positions so separate. So far everyone who has commented on here about getting it has been ICU.

I think mine and "someone elses" were Med/surg. They asked what dept I wanted, there was telemetry, obstetrics, cancer, organ transplant. the "someone else" got the call. I didnt.

Darn, thought maybe there was still a chance that they hadn't made the med/surg calls yet. Guess not.

I got a weird call, asking for my address and saying it was a "soft" job offer, that the recruiter would be calling me tonight or tomorrow....not sure what this means. Med/surg here.
