  1. I suggest watching the documentary, The Business of Being Born. It's a life changer. For me it was, anyway.
  2. I don't know when they were offered the job. Another acquaintance was offered a Banner new grad position too. I think my Abrazo interview went okay, still waiting to hear back though!
  3. I interviewed with Abrazo this past week and was told their program starts on sept 24. I'm interviewing with Banner this week and someone I know was offered a job already and they start the first week of october.
  4. I got an interview offer today. It was through email.
  5. Yes. I was just offered an interview. I am external and graduated with my BSN in May.
  6. Graduated May 2012 with a BSN from AZ. About 60 job apps in state and out. 1 interview before graduation (which i didn't get obviously). I'm starting the volunteer process at two hospitals and just finished ACLS. Out of 18 students, one is in a new grad program (which i interviewed for), one is doing dialysis clinic and home health, and two doing home health.
  7. ro2878, I just signed up for the volunteer orientation at PCH :\ should i just not bother going? I honestly don't even want to do it to put my foot in the door, i just have so much time with no job
  8. I wasn't sure where to post this because it's not exactly nursing related but was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I'm a new grad RN trying to find something to do with my time so I'm turning to volunteering which I have done before. Most hospitals want a six month commitment and I'm afraid it will look bad to not be able to fully commit. I think they will ask me about what I would do if I got a job as a RN (which i hope to get out of state, then i definitely can't commit). I also think they will ask if i'm just doing it to get my foot in the door, which isn't exactly the case. Should I be up front about all of this during my interview? Any tips on what to say? thanks!
  9. I'm officially a RN!!!!!! :)
  10. took mine this morning as well. good pop up. yay!?
  11. 75Q. it was hard. it felt like almost half were SATA. tried the PVT "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." good? bad? ahhhhhhh
  12. just took the nclex. 75 Q. it felt like almost half were SATA :\ just keep studying
  13. I'm testing tomorrow ahhhhhh! I keep going back and forth between being super nervous and confident. Overall I'm positive and I know I can do it. Anyone else testing tomorrow? Also those who have recently gone through it, remind me of what to bring/not bring, that should ease my nerves a bit. Thanks :)
  14. select all that apply
  15. taking mine tomorrow! Right now I'm feeling confident and positive (of course nervous too). Just know you can't know everything and that's okay! We've passed nursing school, we know our stuff. We can do it!!! :)
