  1. Thanks again, everyone! With a little patience and perseverance I finally was offered a Banner position today!! I am so excited!!
  2. Thanks for the advice! I guess I will put my best foot forward in knowing at least I'm moving in the right direction. I actually doubled-up on my BSN courses so I can graduate sooner! Here's to hoping :)
  3. You may have! There are so many nursing programs going on here it is unbelievable :/ I wish I was warned about the market before I got into this. I also wish I could move and start fresh somewhere else but my spouse has an excellent job and I don't foresee us leaving. I guess I will just suck it up until then and continue on to my BSN and cross my fingers that that might help me along the way :/
  4. I feel your pain :/ I graduated in December last year and have been putting out resumes non-stop. I am working home health but I feel this isn't giving me any real experience that will get me into a hospital. I only got the job because my friend worked there. Other than that, no other calls. It's depressing I am also enrolled in the BSN program but it seems like it comes down to who you know now-a-days and not much else. My next stop is the job fairs because that seems to be the only way I will actually get to see someone face-to-face! Good luck, though!!! Hopefully we all get our break soon because we deserve it :)
  5. I graduated back in December of 2011 with my ADN and started working as a home health nurse in February of 2012. I am frustrated because this is not the job I envisioned for myself. I thought that with this experience it would look good on a resume when I applied to hospitals but apparently not because it is not considered bed-side. I also started back in school to get my BSN last month but now I am starting to feel that it may be a wasted effort as I have read other posts :/ I have applied to hundreds of jobs on the Banner website (as well as others) since I received my license in January to no avail and I am starting to feel nauseated about what my future holds in this career. I love being a nurse but I want a chance to showcase my skills/knowledge and I feel I am not even being given a fair chance. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me? Is Banner planning on hiring external new grads soon? I just need a little guidance or some inside info...
