Mayo Arizona RN Residency 2014

Published

Hello, I recently applied to Mayo Clinic's RN residency program in Arizona. I am wondering if there is anyone else out there who has applied... Hoping we can stay in contact with interview prospects and acceptances!

Hopefulgrad75,

Good luck on your interview! Let us know how it goes :)

It was good. Hopefully I hear back. Will yours be in person?

I hope you here back too! Mayo benefits are awesome! Mine is via webcam. I am pretty nervous about it. It will be my first nursing interview!

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions or want some pointers.

beege,

Did they mention if there will be a panel interview after this one? I'm assuming there will be several interviews but I wanted to ask if they told you otherwise. Thank you, Soon2bBSNgrad! I'll let you know how it goes. :)

Just one interview with a floor supervisor and the nurse placement coordinator.

After all interviews are done they will review applicants and notes and make their decisions. I was told it would be 4 weeks so near the last week of May or so.

I'm jealous. Wish I had gotten an interview. Good luck!

Try CCA correctional nursing out in Florence. They pay very well 33/hourly or prn rate of 35/hourly plus weekend and night differntials. Just accepted a PRN spot while I wait for bigger and better things.

Beege,

I don't think I have the option to PM. I don't have a paid membership. Any questions specific to ICUs?

I was called for an interview on May 1st for the Med Surg program. I did not have a phone interview. I'm scheduled to interview on May 16th. I have my BSN, 1 yr experience as an aide in Telemetry (elsewhere), and I did my preceptorship at Mayo.

Beege, I also don't have the option to PM. So if you feel comfortable sharing: do they ask clinical style questions (which patient would you see first, priorities, RN judgment) or is it more behavioral based interviewing? I've been told these interviews are more challenging because some of the questions have two parts. Just curious to see your thoughts. :)

Congrats, AZBSN2014, let us know how it goes! :)
