Mayo Arizona RN Residency 2014

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hello, I recently applied to Mayo Clinic's RN residency program in Arizona. I am wondering if there is anyone else out there who has applied... Hoping we can stay in contact with interview prospects and acceptances!

I have also applied to the med/surg position. It seems like a great opportunity and I guess they hire both BSN and ADN's, but we shall see. I'm currently finishing up my ADN in 4 weeks!

Well, on the application it did say ADN or BSN so I hope that means they welcome ADNs! Good luck to you. I applied to the critical care posting. My application status changed to "in review" today.

Do you have a RN license currently and paid ICU experience? When did you complete your application?

For you to apply to the Critical Care position you have had to work in Critical Care as a PCA, ED Tech or some other support staff. Unfortunately it is to late to apply, they only opened up the dates to apply for 3 days. I'm currently working in a med/surg floor as a PCA. My status hasn't changed yet but I'm sure there were plenty of med/surg apps.

At Mayo or which hospital?

Yeah maybe they look at internal employees first.

HR informed me that the application status updates are. 1. Application received. 2. Application under review. 3. Application forward to hiring manager. 4. Interview requested. 5. Job offered. Any point during the updates it can switch to no longer being considered. Good luck to everyone. It is tough searching for new grad jobs in the Valley. If you are willing to move. Idaho and Wyoming are good places to look.

They do hire both BSN and ADN, I'm getting my ADN and I've heard of several grads from my school that went through the program, I believe most of them did their preceptorship at mayo. I've heard they strongly prefer applicants who precept there. I am in the midst of my preceptorship there now and it is amazing! The nurses are excellent and I'm learning so much. I applied to both med/surg and critical care and only my critical care app status has changed to "under review". I'm guessing they have a lot more med/surg apps to get through. Good luck to everyone!

Gbs90,

Where is your critical care experience from? Btw - good luck :)

Float pool CNA, I work in med-surg, PCU and ICUs

Has anybody heard anything regarding interviews yet?
