Hi everyone,

We have one more day before we are officially enrolled. Are you ready? What class are you starting with? Have you done anything ahead of time? How many CU's do you have to complete.

I will start first. Am I ready- HELL yeah, LOL. I have 38CU's to complete. I have task 1 for LUT1 ready to submit as soon as I have access to taskstream. I have also done the pre-assessment for Older Adult and scored a 77, so while waiting for LUT task 1 to come back I am going to study my weak points so that I can schedule the OA. I have also completed the chemistry review for Biochem so am ready to start on task 1 whenever. Can you tell I like to have several things in the fire at once. I will have several days a week when I will have very little time for studies due to my work schedule followed by several days off when after I sleep that first morning I will have several hours. I want to always have something brewing or ready to submit. My goal is to complete the program in 12-15 months. I have to be reasonable and I know that my 1st day off work is always the worst due to switching my sleep schedule and not sleeping well.

Good Luck everyone and looking forward to supporting and celebrating with everyone!

I'm ready, kicking, and anticipating my May 1st start!!!

I am starting with Care of the Older Adult. I started the course about two weeks ago and am already done; in fact, I only need to take the objective assessment. I had passed the preassessment with a score of 72 percent, so basically I studied the material in which I was weak and lacking knowledge.

I have already completed my first biochemistry task, but I cannot submit anything until my term officially begins and I am enrolled in the course.

The transcript department granted me 86 transfer credits, which means I need to complete 34 credits before will confer a BSN degree to me!

I'm am super excited. I need 38 credits. I have microbiology to complete which I haven't really don't anything with but look at the lab stuff. I passed the pa already for info management and I'm going to start looking at the care of the older adult soon. I think I'm overwhelming myself though messing with everything. I need to pick a class and just finish that first then move on.

It is now May 1st at 2:33am here in Texas, central standard time. About an hour ago I visited the student portal to officially enroll in my courses for the term by clicking the check box next to each class. Yes!

I have my third phone appointment with my program mentor this afternoon. Hopefully she will approve me to take my first objective assessment.

I thinks she should let you. You scored well on the practice exam and have studied. I am looking to take mine as soon as my webcam comes. With my schedule I think that may be easier than trying to give them 3 days that work for me. This way I can take it some night after my husband goes to bed and my daughter is at work. Meanwhile I am going to brush up on the areas I was weaker in. My mentor wants me to be 10 over cut score and I was only 3 points from that goal. I am also anxiously waiting for taskstream access so I can submit task 1 for LUT and the lipids task for biochem. With my schedule I will go several days without being able to work on school so I need to make the most of my days off.

good luck with your call!!

Holy crap guys! I just had my courses officially "shuffled" last night so I knew what I would be getting this term. I just took the PA for Carr of older adult... Feeling discouraged... I failed it by 1%. Im remembering how test taking was difficult for me :/

No need to feel bad!! I am usually a good test taker but have a hard time with writing. I write and rewrite multiple times until it gets to where I want it. 1% is really close and I am sure that you will be fine after reviewing the areas you fell short on. We can do this!!

UPDATE. . .I had my third phone appointment with my program mentor yesterday and it went reasonably well. She approved me to take the Care of the Older Adult objective exam and instructed me on how to schedule possible test dates at a testing center near me. I will need to take this first OA at a testing center since the webcam will not arrive anytime soon.

My mentor also unlocked the Biochemistry course because I stated that I already had the first task completed. Now I'm just waiting on a TaskStream username and password, which should arrive by no later than the middle of next week.

Ahh taskstream: I have a username and password, got it yesterday, but none of my tasks are loaded. I was told it can take up to 48hrs for the tasks to show up. I keep looking for them. Yes, I am a bit inpatient, LOL. Working on task2 for biochem while I am waiting, and gonna study for older adult, since I don't have much to review, in my rare spare time at work over the next 4 days.

I just read your post and decided to check my gmail account, and voila, my TaskStream user name was there in a message. So I registered, created a password, and now I am in your situation as far as waiting for the tasks to appear.
