I always said that when I finally passed NCLEX that I would come back to allnurses and tell about my nclex experience. I've been reading allnurses post since I started LPN school. So first let me start off by saying, I was not an "A" student. I was a "B" student through out my year in LPN school. I made a 69% on my Kaplan Readiness test. I graduated on April 22nd, 2016. After graduation I gave myself a MONTH to study. I used Kaplan Q bank, PDA, and NCLEX mastery app. I also used the study guide that has been floating around on allnurses. I completed all my q banks with an average of 61%. I also did my qbank sample tests. I made a 46% on my alternative sample test...lol. I didn't let that rain on my parade though. I did around 150-200 questions a day. Sometimes, I did fall off schedule and I did not study some days. (sorry it's the truth).
Sooooo on to the test day. My test was at 8:00 a.m. When I walked in I immediately had a calmness over me. I was still a little nervous, but for the most part I was calm. When I finally started the test I was thinking "Okay, it's not too bad". Then came the dreadful SATA. I know for a fact I had at least 35 to 45 SATA. I felt SATA was my weakness. I usually always picked one too many or one too less. Once I got to my 2 hour break, I was on question 43. YES 43!!! I was thinking, OMG if I get to 205 I will run out of time. So when I returned I TRIED to pick up my pace. But I still was moving slow for some reason. Once I got to question 50 or so I started to feel defeated. Then I closed my eyes and just prayed. A weight was automatically lifted off of my shoulders. I got to question 85 and then my computer SHUT OFF! I was so nervous that my hand was shaking when I had to raise my hand to leave. LOL! I was postive I had failed. I cried all the way home. I tried the PVT trick and I got the good pop 24 hours after. That next day, I knew around 7:00 p.m. nursys would post my license. So I waited till 7, and BAM!!!!! There it was! I had passed!!!!!!!! So this is just to motivate anyone out there, If I can do it so can you! Don't give up and pray whenever times get hard. You can do it!!!!
I am in Texas, which i heard is sooo slow at updating the system. i will keep checking it though just in case.
Ohh that sucks. I'm in Tennessee and it was up pretty fast surprisingly. Well I can't tell you to be patient cause I was about to lose my mind in the little 24 hours I had to wait. LOL!
Ctink8189, not sure on the quick results if it is before or after the test. When I finally had a chance to look to see if mine were available today, I had slept in so wasn't able to check at 0800 when I had started my test. Before you pay for your quick results do check nursys.com and your state registry. I was able to look up my application status which told me it was completed and found myself both on nusys.com and my states registry page.

Congrats to you!! I have about 3 hours or a little less and hopefully mine will be there. I have been assured several times that quick results will post on a saturday. Ive also been checking Nursys and my BON but nothing is there yet
Honestly i just think Texas is a very sloooow state when it comes to that. Two of my classmates took their exam before i did and have already gotten their quick results, but they still arent listed on Nursys or BON
I have heard some of the states are like that. Just thankful that I am not in California I feel for the students there, from what I have read some of them have to wait a month or longer to hear back.
