May join Navy Nurse Corp, concerned about vaccines.

Published

Hello All, I am interested in joining the Navy Nurse corp for several reasons. I think it is a great way to get a lot of different experiences in my job field, exciting to travel wherever they may send me, and I like the structure that the military provides for your life as well as the fantastic benefits and ability to advance your career. I am concerned about the amount of vaccines that I would have to undergo. I have seen personally some of the side effects of having a lot of injections at one time on certain people and am worried about the fact that they don't always tell you what they are injecting into you. My husband was a Marine and he said that the military doesn't care what you think about what they put in your body. So my questions are: 1. Do you know what vaccines and how many you will be subjected to, 2. Have you seen adverse side effects? 3. Is there a conscientious objector rule (say religion or known allergies or health problems) that can get you out of it. I may decide that I just have to "suck it up" if I want to join the Navy and I am prepared for that answer too, but want to be as informed as possible. Thanks!

So Julian are you in the military, thinking of joining the military or just commenting?

The vaccines are not to prevent the standard spread of anthrax or small pox. These are real world scenarios with actual threats of exposure that require a certain amount of risk and the risk of a potential vaccine reaction is a small background thought compared to other daily risks... The herd immunity is very important in the military as the close quarters and living conditions are far closer then a standard community and things spread... and sickness doesn't mean missing work its a reduction in combat power and when your buddy goes down there isn't a way to opt out of things you go to war with what you have.

All 4 of your postings are dug up older threads on vaccines.. so forgive me for thinking that you are trolling.

Hello Just_Cause,

I am joining the medical establishment (not the military). I am pursuing an MSN.

I wrote what is below earlier in response to the two AllNurses contributors I found who share similar concerns relative to vaccines. This site just saved me hundreds of dollars. I was going to use Direct Labs (see link below), but after reading and contributing on this site, I found a lab who does titers $30 per titer. Not bad. Thanks AllNurses dot com! I will continue to contribute. It is my hope that something I write will help others.

I wrote this earlier, but you are right in that I did not state which industry I was joining (military or medical).

I am researching vaccines currently. I found your questions to be very good...

Incidentally, my BS is in Chemistry. My MS is in Industrial Hygiene (what is Industrial Hygiene, right?! you can Google it!).

I definitely try to live my life avoiding vaccines if possible. My plan is to get the titers in a few weeks, then go from there to minimize my risks. We don't need a doctor to order titers. We can get them commercially through a lab. For example, we can get them here:

Saying No to Vaccines: VACCINE TITERS: ORDER THEM DIRECT FROM THE LAB

I read on another thread that we can get the titers through college campus health centers much cheaper, or through government health clinics. I intend to try to save money, of course, but if I have to, I'll use Direct Labs (see link above).

A professor of Microbiology I know who is also a friend of mine is in the military. She said one day in class that she felt deathly ill for weeks beginning right after receiving many military vaccines all on the same day; incidentally, she did not appear to be trying to dissuade the class from taking vaccines, but rather she appeared to simply be sharing. Coincidentally within weeks, she announced that she was diagnosed with an auto-immune disease and would need to take time away from our class. She and I became friends after this; I wanted to help her, and she let me.

In other words, a few years after she had the adverse vaccine reaction, she was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, one of the many auto-immune diseases. Many medical industry folks say things like "we don't know what causes auto-immune diseases," but some of us do know. Auto immune diseases - for the most part - appear to be caused by over toxicity. The immune system seems overloaded, overworked, and becomes hypervigilant, and begins attacking even it's own cells. An analogy may be a stressed dog or stressed human, where after so much stress, the organism begins overreacting to the point of direct or indirect self-destructive behavior.

Any who, it's possible that her vaccine experience is related to her sarcoidosis. However, this was not proven, and I am not claiming that there is causal affect; instead I am claiming it's possible that there is a correlation or even partial-causal affect. I say partial-causal, because when I went to this friend's house with bags of organic fruits and leafy greens and such, I noticed she and her husband had a sort of shrine to alcohol, and of course I did some outreach then and there relative to alcohol. What I am getting at is this:

Toxins enter the body via:

injection

ingestion

inhalation

absorption via skin and membranes

Her toxicity levels may have accumulated over time, and in my view, it's possible the vaccines triggered, accelerated, or partial contributed to her auto-immune dis-ease. When she suffered weeks of adverse reactions, her body was working to deal with toxins (if you read the ingredients on any vaccine, you will see that the ingredients are perceived by our cells as toxins; ingredient lists can be found; you have to look for them; they certainly aren't advertised to us by the sellers).

From what I understand, diseases processes can take decades. For example, a body can take 30 years to gradually develop what I call cancer-gone-wild (I describe cancer this way, because we all have cancer cells as a result of normal daily metabolism, that our immune systems eradicate daily, so I differentiate cancer from cancer-gone-wild to articulate the difference). I am betting the same is true for auto-immune dis-eases, that it can take years.

The moral of my monologue here is this:

Make sure to understand that we can feel and look healthy, but dis-ease processes may be lurking (it appears that for most, disease is certainly lurking; just look in our nursing homes and assisted living; this is not normal aging). For me optimizing my immune system is a priority, as well as specifically doing detox for my body, and this involves avoiding toxins when possible or at least working to limit them or reduce them.

One incidental report does not make scientific fact. There are countless studies showing the safety of vaccines and yet you cannot provide one large credible study showing vaccines to be unsafe.

Do you know that pretty much everyone in their life will also develop cancer if they live long enough. It doesn't matter what country, what race or any other factor if your cells divide long enough there will eventually be cancerous cells. It isn't a big cognitive leap to see how your body that is constantly responding to viruses/bacteria and other pathogens can develop autoimmune diseases. People that aren't vaccinated also develop autoimmune diseases so what is your explanation for that.

By the way your friend that had an "adverse reaction" probably already had a depressed immunity (which had nothing to do with being vaccinated) and all the vaccine did was cause earlier symptoms than she normally would have had. You could also imply that the vaccine caused earlier diagnosis and treatment thus helping her overall prognosis.

Vaccination Safety Update

This one article (systematic review of the literature) pretty much refutes every false claim against vaccines that you or any one else could ever come up with.

Here are some more articles showing vaccines safety.

Dear "wtbcrna,"

I did not state that one observation of one human's experience led to a conclusion; I am not sure why you would make this assumption.

My intent is to continue the vaccine conversation encouraging others who express interest to protect themselves while they help others; this is why I carefully and appropriately posted my vaccine concerns only on two threads, both where the original poster expressed similar concerns to myself. I did not, however, post beware-of-vaccine information on posts where folks appear happy-go-lucky about choosing vaccines for themselves.

But again, this thread to me was about having a supportive place for respecting valid concerns, not a place for an argument or debate, as there is no shortage of the pro-vaccine push, propaganda, and bullying.

If a person expresses self-respect, a genuine concern for his or her body and mind, as the original poster did, I like to support him or her, which I did. And I like to support other like-minded readers. My supporting others gives back to me also, which is great.

In summary, I deliberately made the choice to refrain from posting beware-of-vaccine information on the vaccine posts where the original poster showed no concern or questioning or even curiosity.

Since this thread got convoluted, I want to reiterate in the hopes that this doesn't get trolled with pro-vaccine hostility....

Also, yes! when in doubt, spend the money on titers! (so you can avoid taking unnecessary vaccines)

Lastly, my friend was bullied by our nursing director. The director said it was mandatory that she get the flu shot for a particular clinical.

So my friend lost sleep over this for weeks. [my friends and I actually almost never get colds and flues, because we are completely into healthy living (high fruit, low fat, mostly raw, lots of joy, gardening, lymph circulation, exercise, healthy relationships, toxin avoidance, fruit trees, sunshine before 10 AM and after 3 PM, lots of great sleep, you know, that sort of thing! I haven't had a cold or flu in 6 years, ever since I changed my living habits]

This friend finally talked with another professor and told the prof that she would have to pull out of the clinicals, and when the prof asked why, and my friend told her, the prof said "oh, gosh, no! the flu shot is optional." So there is quite a bit of bullying going on by the folks who for some strange reason don't want to look at the reported epidemiological data.

And again, I believe VAERS is our nation's main reporting system for vaccine injuries.

The Sanctity of Human Blood by Tim O'Shea

Saying No To Vaccines by Dr. Sherri Tenpenny

Just couple more things:

1. Book one written by Dr. Tim O'Shea. O'Shea is a Chiropractor with no other advanced training except acupuncture, and horse dentistry of the three of those I don't think none of them give him the expertise to talk about anything to do with vaccines unless it effects some horse's teeth. 2. Book two written by Dr. Sherri Tenpenny. Dr. Tenpenny is a DO and was an ER physician. The funny thing about Dr. Tenpenny is when I did a pubmed search for her, and I couldn't find one article by her not surprising when you look at her CV and see that she has never published one peer reviewed article. That doesn't speak very highly for someone that is supposed to be a medical expert advocating against vaccinations. http://drtenpenny.com/Documents/SHERRI%20CV%20--%2004-10%20--%20no%20subtitles,%20no%20dates.pdf Don't listen to these "medical voices," or: How did I miss this loony antivaccine site before? : Respectful Insolence Dr. Sherri Tenpenny quack - Google Search
