Published

hey allnurses,

first congrats to all of the 2009 grads :yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah::yeah:. i just finished my first semester of an accelerated second career bsn program & i can't wait to be finished. i am expected to graduate in may 2010 & i plan to remain here in michigan. i have heard time and time again that there are and always will be jobs for nurses, but i am beginning to realize that is just a myth just like many circulating the field of nursing. as i read these forums it is sad to see new grads that have survived the hardships of nursing school and can't find work. i know every story is different. thats why i want to welcome the 2009 grads to share their stats & lets see are there any new grads in michigan getting jobs. thanx in advance & good luck!!!

1. when did you graduate

2. when did you begin applying for jobs

3. do u have an adn/ bsn

4. did u find a job (if so where & what unit)

5. were u employed at any other hospital (cna, tech, intern ect.)

sorry this looks like a job app.:saint:

btw........ not my stats, but these r the stats of one of my friends

she graduated in may 2009 from uofm w/ a bsn, she started applying in december & landed her job in february @ st. joes in ann arbor where she worked as a nurse tech, she is on a cardiac step- down unit started in july. oakwood hospital also called her in for an interview, but she chose the first place that offered her a job.
