Matriculation prior to requirement for TEAS test

U.S.A. Georgia

Hi Ladies,

I am just curious about if I matriculated to a school prior to the requesting the TEAS will I still be required to take it? Or because the catalog is a legal contract I would be exempt?

Just wondering because I can't add another thing to my plate at this moment and I would love to start nursing school soon! Trust me life hasn't been a bed of roses and if I can side step this test I would love to.

ANY SUGGESTIONS OR COMMENTS WILL BE APPRIECATED!:yeah:

I know this is a bit old, but I'll take a crack at it.

Did they require another test prior to the TEAS? Not sure I understand the question so please clarify if I'm going in the wrong direction here.

My school recently switched from the NET to the TEAS V. Entrance for Spring 2011 and beyond must now take the TEAS V. I've been taking my pre-reqs here for the last 3 semesters. I have to take the TEAS. No side stepping it. However, had I taken the NET, it would have been still valid for entrance and I would not have to take the TEAS. The NET score would have been good for 2 years. However, I did not take the NET so I will have to take the TEAS.

Hope this helps.

Check with the school to be sure though.

Oh, I was just looking at another school that switched to TEAS V. At this school, anyone that took the older version must now take the TEAS V. No other version will be considered.

Were you already accepted into the Nursing Program before they changed the testing requirements? For instance, if I am already accepted into Kennesaw State under the old requirements, I don't need to meet the new changes, but in order to transfer to the Nursing Program I have to apply separately to that program and would need to meet all requirements as of the date I apply. I think you will need to plan to take the TEAS.

Thanks for answering my post but they didn't require any type of standardize test.

Thanks I believe you are correct!
