Well if you had 1 part bleach to 20 parts water would that be stronger than 1 part bleach to 200 parts water? Think about it.

Another way to think about it, would you rather have a slice of pie from a pie that was cut into 20 pieces or 200?

Think about Kool-Aid.

You have one packet and the more water you add to that packet, the weaker the color and flavor.

Kool-Aide:water

1:1= equal parts

1:2=more water than Kool-Aide, getting weaker

1:5, 1:10, 1:100... whatever and etc. etc. and its weaker weaker weaker.

The more water, the weaker it will be.

Did you take chemistry as a prerequisite for nursing school? This is why.

See, in nursing school, everything you learned before is considered to be in play. It's not like, oh, US History where you take the exam and sell the book and forget about it. You have to USE that chemistry. Do you still have your chem book? That's where you would have looked this up.

You will also have to remember what this means when they ask you to look at antibody titers later. If you don't remember then, you will... ? (Go to your chem book)
