Hi everyone,
I'm trying to decide what exam to take next....I did very well in maternity while in LPN program so maybe that should be next? How did you all find Maternity? A lot of new material? Also---what the heck is Chronicity?? How did you find that test to be? I have 2 under my belt so far and would like to get going and finish by next summer :) Hopefully.......
Thanks!!

I found Maternity to be a lot easier than I thought and I have never worked maternity just had two kids!! Chronicity kind of covers everything from birth to death just general nursing. I thought I would do horrible on maternity and got a B and thought I was doing great throughout the test on Chronicity and got a C - my only one so far!! Good Luck we can do this!!! :p:p
Thanks Cathy...when did you start? How many exams have you taken so far?? It seems to be going slowly for me, I have 2 kids as well ages 8 and 10 and also work as a nisiting nurse 4 days a week. My kids are in sports and my husband works crazy hours so I study when I can!! I got a C on Transitions, that was a tough test just because the material is so boring!!! hard to study boring information :)
You are right we can do this!! I have to keep saying it. haha.
what book did you use for Chronicity?? or study giude....

Either way you have to take both of them, so you could just toss a coin!
I enrolled in February of this year and just have lifespan 2 & 3 left and god willing by September will be done with them. I have to schedule the exam and that gives me a deadline. I use the rnbridgeprogram.com which I know before everyone says anything I am paying someone else but it works for me. It is a website that cost $97 a month and has 15 videos for each one that Sheri Taylor teaches, this works for me because I can read all day and nothing sticks but if I can listen and take notes it works!!! Then I also take the practice test, and make flashcards using flashcardexchange.com Been averaging one every 4-6 weeks so I decided if it works I am sticking with it!!!

I would also like to know what textbooks you use for Chronicity. I looked in the bookstore section but each book seems to be needed for each class. Is Chronicity similar to Fundamentals of Nursing?

I am in the excelsior program as well. I have micro, transitions, life span, health safety, and ethics under my belt I just started in Oct. of '09. I've only been an LPN since last Aug.! I just enrolled and now I'm working on chronicity and Life Span 1. For all of the above tests, all I've used were lisaarends cds and studygroup 101. I seem to like the studygroup 101 better b/c it doesn't seem so disorganized and the wording is more interresting. I'm getting really excited even though I still have 5 more:( I want to get these 5 done as quick as possible... I'm from Central, PA. Anyone else out there from around here?? Can anyone tell me what the study load is like for these last 5?? Is it as bad as the gen eds?? I'm hoping not seeins how they're "nursing" courses. UGH.. I just feel like screaming! LOL Anyway all, Goodnight... this little stressed head is gonna rest on my pillow for the next 7h!!
