Massasoit Nursing Program fall2015

U.S.A. Massachusetts

I'm nervously waiting for a letter from the school to hear if I got in or not! Anyone else out there waiting like me?

I don't have A&P I & II done so I'm not looking good I guess but I have an A.S already, taking Micro right now, all other classes done except human growth and development ugh its gonna suck if I don't get it, I have all A's 3.9 GPA.

I have two boys I wanted to get done nursing school so I could provide for them, I'm 30, I wanted to have another baby after nursing school, if I don't get in than I feel like everything is delayed ya know? I'm not gonna be young forever.

I have all my classes except for two that are currently in session. I'm hoping once I'm done with them points go up on my rubic and I get a call!! Wishful thinking! I hate waiting sorry to hear armymedic! Keep at it!

I got accepted as well! cant wait

Marybean,

What classes do you have in progress at the moment? Your rubric won't change after the classes are complete as it goes by what was complete as of the application deadline. But.. You still might be in a good spot on the wait list. If not, then you will be all set for the next application cycle. Either way, I wish you the best

Thanks so much I am currently taking micro and sociology

hmmm.. well it can't hurt to try. Best of luck!

Hi there! Hello HopefulRN17! I remember you from last summer's post waiting to get into MCC! Good luck to all. I just wanna let you know that as an lpn I didn't find out until May 28th that I had gotten in. The reason is all of the freshman need to have their finals graded and posted by registrar and then all the LPN's get the spots the freshman failed out of. Its kinda ******. excuse my french. In the day program that I literally just passed on 5/11, we had 10 LPN's. I thought I saw someone post 16 spots. Maybe for nights, but not for days. I'm friends with the LPN's and we are a happy group of 10! lol. Good luck to all. Its a great program if anyone has questions, they can always post here, or email me at [email protected] Don't worry LPN's. You will find out if you haven't. I would say give them another 1-2 weeks. You will def know by then! Good luck!! I am getting pinned Tuesday!

Hi bebepickle!!!!

Congrats on your pinning!!!! So happy for you!!!!

Well we both took our finals last night (LPN and generic RN classes) grades should be posted today 😳

I am new to this website im applying back to Massasoit to complete my Pre Reqs I have just Ap 1&2 Micro Human growth and Sociology left to go! Im in my early 30s, a mom, so it will take me all year just to finish these lol... hoping to apply next year to the evening program. Quincy college requires intro to chemistry which I don't think I would do well in chemistry scares me or I would apply there :( Im a little over welmed since every school seems to want different pre reqs to get in! and the chances of getting in are slim. any advice? im on the south shore so BCC Quincy and Massasoit are the closest for me.. Brockton I am not hearing good things in terms of just getting a certificate?

I'm a mom two and totally understand how hard it is... I talked to a Massasoit counselor and she told me if BOTH A&p classes aren't done u most likely won't get in. So try to take those first. Also don't under estimate yourself. I didn't think I'd do well but I ended up getting A's in sciences. You can do it and the teachers at massasoit are good. Take the chemistry class with Kendra you will do fine . you may have a better chance getting into a school of u apply to Quincy too

Armymedic1219 is right, don't underestimate yourself.. you would be amazed at what you can accomplish. The next Massasoit evening program begins Fall 2017 so applications will be due February 1st 2017. Applications are graded on a rubric. The more classes you have completed the more points you will have. The better your grades in those classes, even more points.

Just so you know, a lot of people applying have everything completed which leaves them only with the nursing classes. I had everything except Micro complete when I applied.

BHSN is only a diploma program but it is affiliated with Fisher College so you can get an AS at the same time. I have done both semesters at BH for clinical and have been pleased. Last semester I actually had a BHSN instructor for clinical and she was awesome.
