hello. just wondering if any of you have tried massage on your patients. what was their complaint and what was the outcome? would love to hear some stories! thank you and have a great day!

I've have pts come in with spasms in the trapezius. I get them myself a lot and accupressure is the only thing that works for me. With the doc's blessing and the pt's permission I have tried it on them. Most of the time it works.
For other pains, it definitely helps because it helps to relax the muscles. Less tension, better/faster healing.

I'm mostly a foot-and-calf massage nurse. Most of my patients are in bed usually (I work nights).
Sometimes I find that a good foot massage usually sends them off to Snore City if they are having a hard time sleeping

In my short experience I have seen it help patients feel better:)
