Internship

U.S.A. Massachusetts

Hi

I'm in my last year and looking forward to beginning my internship in the spring. Our clinical faculty is responsible for getting our internships all set for us, but they told us if we can find an RN to be our preceptor it would help them out. I'm not quite sure where they have contracts in Boston (where I hope to get my internship). I think it's with MGH, St. Elizabeths, Brigham and Womens, and Deaconess. If anyone knows anyone who deals with students and wouldn't mind helping me out, would you find out some info on the ED in any of these hospitals and find out if they are interested in working with a student?Or at least find out who the contact person is? I have no clue where to even begin. If you'd feel more comfortable, feel free to PM me :)

Thanks so much!

Kaite,

Hi! I'm not too familiar with the Boston hospitals (I work in Worcester) but why don't you start by looking up these hospitals on the internet to try to find out more info about their EDs, etc. Or simply look up the phone #s in the phone book and call up and ask to speak to/be connected to the nurse manager of the ED in each hospital. Hope that helps.

Christine
