Hi there! I just got accepted into the AGACNP program at Maryville University. I am a full time working RN on a medical surgical floor. I am creating this post to seek more information about the program!
Does this program prepare you well for the boards?
It is possible to complete this program working full-time?
Any advice on finding preceptors. I live in Maryland!

Following. I am about to start this upcoming May 4, 2020 on my PHMNP in Maryville University. I also have the same questions
I have a friend who had her BF attend and pass his boards who went to Maryville. I heard it's very tough and it's mostly self-taught. There are many group projects and discussion boards.

FWIW most online NP schools are self taught, dont expect much beyond recorded lectures or PP slides on blackboard. This is quality drops when the NP/nursing world values convenience and accessibility above all.
I did not go to a school that made you find preceptors, but its a major pain. I know many people who just quit because it was impossible for them.

I tell most people who are looking online to find something that has a solid culture of learning. Be it a brick and mortar school that is venturing to online options or schools that are have a solid history in nursing practice. Frontier for instance has a mix of online and in-person requirements with a working philosophy of learning through different environments. Some lectures are recorded, but all classes and topics have an interactive online space for education. Preceptors is a thing for many schools and especially on-line, but there are plenty of brick and mortar schools that don't meet that bar either. Some online schools do have a broad list of former preceptors that they can tap into as well. So make sure they can give you a good understanding of their own process, the rigors of preceptor credentialing, and their clinical expectations.
