@Bealadybug First off, I wanted to congratulate you on finishing Maryville's PMHNP program! I would love to be in your position in two weeks. I am having a hard time trying to get a preceptor. My part-time job in an inpatient mental health hospital told me they are not able to accommodate me to be their preceptee. What was the best way for you to acquire preceptors? Cold calls/email? Go in person?

Following. I am about to start this upcoming May 4, 2020 on my PHMNP in Maryville University. I also have the same questions I have a friend who had her BF attend and pass his boards who went to Maryville. I heard it's very tough and it's mostly self-taught. There are many group projects and discussion boards.

I am also a Psych Nurse and about to start my PMHNP online program next month. My job also entails a doctor who does tele-psych in SJBH. Where are you currently going to school? The tele-psych doctors are no PMHNP's. They are MD's.

Can you elaborate on why PHMNP wished they did FNP route? I am currently about to start my PMHNP program in Maryville University.
