Marymount Nursing Fall 2019

Published

Hello all!

So I just submitted my Marymount Transfer Nursing Undergraduate application and thought I'd go ahead and make a thread on it for those in the same boat. I have a 3.14 GPA, 82.7% composite TEAS score, and great resume as well as recommendations. Marymount only asks for 1 recommendation but I went ahead and submitted three - one from my high school principal and two from current professors. I submitted my application for the Feb. 22nd review and was wondering, when will I likely hear back? Additionally, do you guys think I have a good chance of being accepted? My biggest concern is that I was suspended during high school... however I was completely transparent about the whole ordeal in my application. All in all, I truly think my overall application shows notable growth and academic achievement. I hope this thread will be helpful to others with similar concerns!

I've been told "next week" for the last month... praying we'll hear something back this week. If anyone calls and hears something else, please keep us all posted!

Hey I was pretty confused when I heard you can apply through Marymount because that wasn’t an option before.

I still have not heard anything. When did you apply @megtown

So have I!! I was getting nervous because I thought it was just me.

I’m sure we will be ok. Waiting is always the worst part. I’ll update you guys if I hear anything!

I applied on 4/5. NursingCAS was a pain and I emailed to make sure they had my stuff.

The 3rd deadline is the only one you can do through Marymount. It’s new this year. I don’t think their website is fully up to date right now.

That’s the same day they got my scores and I called to confirm they had everything. Maybe it’s a staffing issue in admissions.. not sure but hopefully we hear something soon.

best of luck to everyone!

Hopefully, everything goes well and all who applied for the second review, get a decision soon. I applied for the third review and the wait is so nerve-racking. I can just imagine how you guys are feeling. Keep me updated, please.

Thats a good point. Jose Torres use to be over admissions. Now Rebecca McGill seems to be taking over. Jose Torres sent an email saying he no longer works at Marymount.

I declined my spot at marymount...so its one more seat available'

good luck!

Oh wow! @nursedooode what school did you end up choosing? I am from Florida and am looking at different BSN programs in DC/Virginia.

@Lovinm University of Maryland CNL [cheaper because I'm instate and its a masters vs a bsn]

I'm also from Florida! I just spoke to admissions and they said I should hear back by the end of next week...which is what I was told last week and the week before that lol. But I suppose no news is better than bad news. I applied for the second review via NursingCAS. Rebecca McGill has been really helpful with making sure they have everything on file for me because I had some issues with NursingCAS as well.

Also, looks like someone declined their spot earlier...does that mean decisions have been sent out for some?
