WHO'S APPLYING???! I started a thread because I didn't see any!
I got into Hopkins and ultimately decided against Marquette. It's been nice chatting with y'all though and I wish everyone luck in their future endeavors and have a blast wherever you may pursue your future education![/quote']Yayyyyy!!!! Congratulations hopeful! :) I'm very happy for you. Good luck with everything!
Does anyone know what the general timeline is after we finish the 15 month phase? Do we take a semester off to take the NCLEX & to find a job, or do we start our MSN classes right away? (I'm hoping to be in the Midwifery program if that makes any difference)
I don't think there is a specific amount of time given to students to pass the NCLEX and find a job. I do know that we are unable to continue the MSN portion of the program until gaining RN certification. We have up to 6 years to complete the program. I would like to complete the program as soon as possible, so will try my best to take the exam during winter break 2014. In regards to midwifery, I think it may take you longer to find job and clinical placement if you wish to work within that area. Also, after reading past threads, I've learned that pediatric, acute care, and midwifery often take longer to complete than other specialties. Hope that helps!
Hopefulnurse24 - Congratulations! That's great news. Best of luck to you.
Reifme25 - No, I don't think we have a facebook group yet.
Not yet! On the other thread for this cycle, someone said they asked the school and the first round of acceptances are expected to go out the first week of March or so. In previous years, acceptances went out as early as mid feb. I'm super anxious and hope we find out sooner than March! :) It's hard waiting :)
