Maricopa RN Time Stamps for 8/6/15

Published

Hi!!! I was hoping we could share our time stamps! I received 8:00am and 9 seconds. I'm hoping to go to MCC for the traditional morning session. Anyone else got their time stamp today? :)

You can start the bsn in block 3 even if you dont do cep?

Yes! NAU is the only one right now that offers it, buts its there. Maybe that helps your decision. :) You apply in block 2, and they accept after you have completed the semester, passing grade and all :).

That's awesome! I never saw that on thwir webpage. Can you share a link? So you have to move to flagstaff, then?

no its all online line the CEP, all prereqs but just start in Block 3. Its in the NAU website requirements for nursing school. :)

Requirements - School of Nursing - Northern Arizona University

That's also my plan... Just start it in block 3 if I get placed in spring. :)

Thank you so mucb for this information!! It will help my decision :-)

I wonder how competetive it is?

I am currently starting NAU in block 4. I didn't know about it in time to apply to start in Block 3. Not competitive at all since its all online classes. Just meet the minimum requirements and get 2 instructor recommendations saying they think you could pass the course and you're in. It does take time though to get your transcripts transferred in and reviewed and to get the application process done though. So plan for that.

How long is the NAU program?

It depends on ig you have all the regular classes done or not. I have an AGEC degree and all the additional pre reqs and co reqs for the RN-BSN done due to being on the wait lit for 2.5 years. So I only have like 10 classes. I'm taking two this semester and will be done by December 2016 is I take 3 in Spring, 2 over summer and the last 3 in Fall of next year. If you have additional literacy or humanities requirements to fulfill or any other BSN pre req classes to complete it will take longer. If I went full time, I could be done in 3 semesters since all the courses are 2 or 3 units. But I don't want to bunch too much together so I can get better grades without going crazy with all the writing in the classes.
