Congrats to all GCC Weekenders. I started that program in Jan 2011. If you have any general questions, please feel free to ask. I know there are a couple of us on here who would be happy to help in any way we can. We were fortunate enough to have some great allnurses.com folks answer our questions and give us lots of helpful advice.
You'll be starting before you know it!
Hello Everyone,
I got placed finally!!!!!!!! Into the weekend program at Glendale Community AZ. Class starts July 22, 2011. I am more nervous than excited. If their is anyone who is starting this July 2011 in the weekend program please PM. It would be nice to talk to someone who will also be starting the program and who is just as nervous as I am. I have so many questions and if their are any students who are currently in the program who can answer my questions I would appreciate it so much.
Questions: I got placed on March 1, how long after you got placed before you received your orientation packet?
When should I start the CPR class? orientation is July 13.
Should I buy my uniforms now or wait until I get the orientation Packet?
How soon should I start on my vaccinations, I need all of them!
My last question: Is it true that the weekend program is easier to handle than say the traditional full time?
I know its alot of questions, my nerves are getting the better of me LOL
Thanks again!!!!!!!
I got my first choice, MCC Traditional during the second round of placements on March 15. My time stamp was 10/16/09 8:00.08
Over 40 applicants didn't follow up after being placed in the first round on 3/1, & were withdrawn! From the status page:
"We withdrew over 40 applicants that had reaffirmed their interest on/after the reset on 2/22 but who did not respond to placement (2 emails and a USPS letter) and could not be reached/did not return our phone calls."

:nurse:Did you get in to a Maricopa Community College for Fall of 2011?
Please let us know which college and what your timestamp was so we can figure out which timestamps got in this round.
Thank you and congrats to those who got in this semester!
