I got a survey on email today from Maricopa...sounded like they were gathering info so they could plan to open more Nursing programs. Anyone know about any plans for more programs??
So, let me see if I'm getting this. If you apply within 6 months you can get right into block 3. If after 6 months you follow the placement as an LPN which is advance placement? So what exactly does that mean? Soooo confusing!
It means that if you wait too long after finishing block 2, you HAVE to pass the NCLEX-PN in order to apply for block 3.

I get that! My point is what's the difference? My plan is to get out and work, then finish my pre-req's. I can't apply until my pre-req's are complete anyways. I guess for most of you, you aren't planning on being and LPN or wanting to work as one? But, for me, that was my plan all along!

Some people get out of block two, drag their feet for whatever reason or life interferes and don't apply directly to block 3. Requiring they have the LPN license ensures they at least studied up for the NCLEX-PN and have retained some information from blocks 1/2....because after all, nursing school is just repetition of those fundamentals over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over :barf01:
But I wonder if no one can get into school to learn, (the first step) how will there ever be anymore experienced nurses? It is also good to see a nurse who is more concerned about extremely high demand than the good of the patient.
Mmmm...we are not going to see eye to eye on that! Shoot me a PM if you want to discuss offline...

You are too funny!
