Maricopa CEP Status

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has received their status for Maricopa CEP. I know March 20th was the day where we were suppose to know our status within the program, I still haven't received anything from them. Didn't know if anyone else is in the same boat.

If you haven't heard back from Phoenix college I would suggest that you get in contact with them. I received an email yesterday after I sent multiple emails and left various voicemails. Turns out they had no evidence of receiving my CEP application. Upon further investigation it turns out that the counselor I met with to turn my apps in, stapled my CEP to the back of my ADN application. They needed to be turned in separate so the application never made it to submission. Huge bummer! I wanted to mention this on the post for those that are getting ready to turn in their apps. Make sure you are meeting with someone who knows what they are doing so you won't run into this problem. Not much I can do at this point except apply for the next round.

Are you serious? I would be livid and raising Holy Hell all over that place!! That is terrible!!!!! Get your application turned in again for the May 31st deadline!! But follow up with the college... somebody needs to be held accountable for that mistake!

I have sent a few emails and tried calling too, as I have not heard anything in regards to my CEP application from Phoenix. I had previously emailed in January before the cut off because of the lack of communication to verify if my app had been submitted. I am so sorry to see and read that this has happened. I would definitely reach out and find out who is responsible for such an error. I'm hopeful someone from Phoenix will reach out to me sometime today or tomorrow.

Not a big comfort, but, I am very sorry this happened to you, that's terrible. I'd hope that they'd try making it right by either squeezing you in this round or be able to guarantee you'd get in this upcoming round. Accidents happen, but this really bites for someone like you who has put the time, work & investment in to be able to even apply.

An after thought: You have to wonder how many other accidents like this happened since they no longer have that online system they use to (people where able to see their app was received & when it had been time stamped). A better applicant friendly system seems to be needed.

Yeah... I'm trying to take the high road the best I can. Unfortunately, so far, the incident has been met with defensiveness and deflection. I've contacted the advising director about it and haven't heard anything back. The real problem is, if it was submitted properly and I was denied I at least would know that my grades and scores weren't good enough, and I could look for other program options. But now I'm faced with waiting again another 3 months with the possibility of not getting in.

This was from the Maricopa website regarding acceptance to begin at the Maricopa CCs in the Fall:

Fall 2017 NURSE PLACEMENT IS IN PROCESS

Fall 2017 CEP placement is now complete. Denial emails went out on March 23

rd. The window to apply for the Spring semester is open from now until May 31st.

The initial round of Traditional Placements is now complete. The selected students now have until Friday, April 7

th to respond. If necessary, there will be subsequent rounds as needed until all remaining spots are filled. We hope to have traditional placement completed by the end of April.

ALL NOTIFICATIONS WILL BE SENT THROUGH YOUR MARICOPA STUDENT EMAIL.

So get your applications turned in for the next deadline of May 31st....that would mean starting online with your chosen Uni in the Fall 2017, and begin at the CC in Spring 2018, if you get accepted!!
