any insight to their process or advice from people who have previously interviewed? I know it says that there will be a ccrn and med calc exam. any insight to the type of questions asked in the interview? EI or clinical? clinical scenarios or disease process? questions from within your background?

I prepared for both. So it can be both depending on who is interviewing you. Two people interviewed me at the same time, then I met with two students in another room and asked them some questions. Then I wrote the exam, it was just 1 exam composing of Med calc and critical care questions, I think they are similar to ccrn type questions. Then I was walked around the sim lab to see what it looks like. I also got a small bag of gifts after. Very good school in a nice environment from what I’ve seen so far. Honestly if I get in, I will surely go. Have you gotten an interview yet? Where are you in the application process?

I got extended an invitation to interview, just fine tuning which date! how did you feel about how they interviewed you? do the students interview you as well? is the student session 1:1 or with a group?

There were 2 students in a room with me. No they did not interview me. I asked them questions about the program. They seem to really like the program and they said many great things about the program. It was a relaxed interview overall. I think you will do well

Hi everyone!

I just got my acceptance letter from the program director this past Friday!

Has anyone else heard back?

Keep your eyes out for an email!

I haven’t interviewed yet. Any advice on what to prepare for interview wise

Specializes in Critical Care.

Same stuff that's already been addressed in the other thread. Prepare for personal questions, CCRN style test (20 min for 20 questions) w/ math calc questions.

And also what ------ said, "be yourself" and be prepared (ie. extra resumes and stuff).

Good luck!
