Just wanted to start a thread for Marian University CRNA program hopefuls to help share information. I applied a few weeks ago and got an email saying the application is with the admissions committee and to expect an email about a potential interview in the next 4 weeks. Good luck everyone!

I have similar experiences with 5 years ICU (rural) and 8 years flight. I also have my CCRN, TNCC, and all the AHA. My undergrad wasn't the best, but I went back and have a MSN and will have a DNP in December with a GPA of 3.85.
Have you talked with anyone with this program about if they count flight as critical care? Some do and some don't so trying to figure out which ones do.

I talked to (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) about it. She said that flight does not count as "critical care experience" in their eyes and would not meet the requirements.

That is what she told me as well, but that my previous ICU experience would count towards the requirement.

Well that's good at least. We moved back to Indiana after being out of state for the past 6 years. I had the choice to fly or go back in house and I didn't want to burn the bridge with flight if I get into school so I went back in house.

I don't blame you. I loved flying, but I'm looking at a part time spot to keep my ICU time more current. I'm working as a NP now.

Sounds like a great plan! Hopefully we will hear something soon!
