Hello I am starting my prerequisites this fall while working full-time as a medical assistant and I have two kids. I signed up for Biology and psychology both courses eight weeks one after the other, is this manageable? Any tips?

I’m interested to hear what others say! I’ve been working on pre-reqs for a year as a SAHM to 6 kids (2-13). But starting this fall I’ll be working with my husband on a business we are purchasing. I’m signed up for only 4 credits over a 15 week semester: micro lab (only 1 credit, but I’ve heard it’s rough) and a 3 credit developmental psych class. I hope it’s manageable! After that I’ll take A&P 1 alone for Spring semester.

Hi! I took 3 classes at time each semester, did 16 wk runs for most and 8 wks for easier classes (history and English comp). I tried 4 and it didn't end well, so 3 was my max. I work full time and have two kids. I also had a lot of support from family which was a huge help. I started doing my pre req's Jan of 2017 and with 2-3 semesters off I finally finished them this past Spring. I'm currently in the process of enrolling into a nursing program now.
Good luck ladies! Thanks for the replies.

Good luck yo you as well! It's not easy, but it is possible. If you have a reliable support system, LEAN ON THEM.

I have a classmate who is a mother of a young child. I believe her motto is “Cs get degrees”. I felt bad for her when she said that. Most full time students think of their pursuit as their babies, but she actually has a baby. So it’s almost like life is not fair.
