@roseflush did you get into century? Is that your first choice or is Inver?

I only applied to Inver Hills. My transcript from a class wasn’t received to century so my application was messed up. ?

oh got it! Thought I saw you ask about Century. What number are you on the waitlist?

I was going to edit and say I did apply to century but I apparently did not send in a transcript from a class from a long time ago and it messed up my application so I didn’t apply correctly LOL! ?

Curious what the lowest comp rate was for acceptance at each school?

Ugh! That has been my biggest fear in applying to the programs.

I emailed the nursing contact at Normandale and she sent me the lowest accepted score for the last 10 semesters. I don't know if other schools do that. But normandale was around 11.6, with the highest score needed at 11.84 one semseter.

It looks like my anatomy and physiology didn’t transfer over right for them because when I got my bachelors degree, anatomy and physiology where separated but still count as 6 credits so when I talked to Sherry Hegstrom she said that was fine, but now when I look at the audit it doesn’t look accounted for?!

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I was rejected last semester due to a similar issue although I guess it was completely on me because I sent over an "unofficial transcript" rather than an official transcript of one of my prior colleges. Even though none of those classes were requirements for nursing (took like world music, and film studies), they still rejected it.

Your issue is really frustrating because a 6 credit anatomy class should at the very least cover your A&P 1 class which is only 4 credits. And the mane program only requires that A&P 1 be done prior to starting the program...is there anyway you could do a course appeal to count it as A&P 1? I did one this past Summer for the communications class and it was successful.

Then your admission would just be contigent on the course appeal going through. That seems no different then offering contingency acceptances based on people completing their fall semester classes before the nursing school starts.

Also, didn't you say someone from the school said your application looked good? I would follow up with that person, because that is not acceptable on their part.

Yay! I got my acceptance to Normandale! I will be declining inver and Anoka so hopefully that helps some of you on the waitlist!

Congratulations!?

Is that the most recent though? Someone told me you need a 12.0 minimum with Normandale to even be considered (it’s where I go)
