I'm always interested and curious to hear (as we do often here) that malpractice rates are so much higher in TX than in most other states, because TX is one of the states that has passed a pretty strict "tort reform" state law that makes it v. difficult to sue for malpractice. The point of those laws (and the argument many people make about how we need a national "tort reform" law) is that they are supposed to reduce the cost of healthcare by reducing the cost of and the practice of "defensive medicine." However, that apparently hasn't been the result in TX ...

Hi everyone,

I've read somewhere on this forum that NSO has a policy coverage of 1,000,000/6,000,000. I just tried applying on their website and I didn't see anything close to 1,000,000/6,000,000. The max they had was 100,000/300,000, which I was automatically defaulted to. Did I miss something on their website or did they reduce their coverages? I'm in TX, if anyone knows about this, I'd love to hear from them. Thanks!
