male nursing student uniforms

Nursing Students Male Students

Published

Hi guys, Hope everyone is well. I'm a male also and finishing up my pre-reqs now only 2 more semester to go. What are the uniforms like for males in school? I think a lot of nursing schools require different dress codes but for us guys what do I have to look forward to? The white nurse cap; that's out!! The white stockings; that's out!!!

I was none too pleased when an ink pen busted in my shirt pocket last week. Three treatments of Shout gel, and two treatments with a bleach pen, and I still have a light brown stain.

Aerosol hairspray or rubbing alcohol, ethyl or isopropyl on the stain for a few minutes, then wash as usual, shuld fade most of the rest of the stain out of the shirt.

We have to wear white sneakers or white nursing shoes, no clogs for men or women, white polo shirt with school emblem embroidered on the left chest, hunter green uniform pants that look like scrubs with sewn in creases, with an optional hunter green lab coat with embroidered emblem and elastic cuffs.

Each piece was $20 plus the $6 emroidery fee for the coat and shirt, plus sales tax. If we didn't buy the pants from the school approved uniform shop, we had to get the pants approved by the faculty.

I am a pre-nursing student and every single day I go into the campus store to look around. But evertime I sneek a look at the nursing uniforms. For us they are white scrubs with the cursive writing "CCRI Nursing Student" on the breast of the top in green writing. Or Green scrubs with the same writing except in white. They look rather spiffy if I do say so myself. ;)

The 4 year nursing students from the state university have to wear these white polo like sweatshirt/shirt thingies with the student logo on it and the scrub pants. In my opinion... it looks really strange. I will take the community college uniform over the state universitys uniform anyday.

I'm a guy and we will be wearing white shoes, no open toes or heels, white pants, white top, allowed to wear a white turtleneck (uck) under top, and a Blue coat with school emblem (a variation of a lab coat), no visible tatoos or piercings other than one post or small hoop in each ear, no other jewelry except a wedding ring, plus a watch with second hand or constant digital readout of seconds.
